  1. I have had clients worry about Insurance carriers dropping them from their insurance and because they are afraid to have their premiums increse or feer of not getting insurance if dropped. I often tell people that it is not just their insurance that makes premiums go up, it is several claims that will increase rates. For example, if in one area there are many hail claims, the carrier will increase across the board on everyones premium to try to recover from paying out claims. Therefore when people think that theirs is going up because they put in a claim, it will go up regardless due to others filing claims. Insurance was put into place to cover people for extremes. A Major hail storm that damages a roof is a major event and can cause future sedondary water damage as the hail may have damaged the shingles and will allow rain water into the home eventually.
