Catastrophes are Stressful Enough

Catastrophes are Stressful Enough

When you suffer damage to your home or property, it is devastating.  This is true especially when it is your home as a man’s home is his or her castle.  You work hard to make it into a special place to rest after a long day at work, so when something happens to destroy or damage it… it is personal.

I have heard far too many  times, not to take it personal when my insurance company says that the damage is below my deductible.  I take it personally when they under value the damage and make me search for the cheapest price and labor to repair or replace my property.  I take it personally when the Adjuster acts callous and thinks the insurance process is a “game”.  I take it personal when I have been paying premiums for years and when there is hail and wind damage to my property, that the Adjuster tells me it is wear and tear and makes up other excuses not to cover my damage.  I take it personally when I pay for a policy that seems to not cover anything.

Why wouldn’t I?  Wouldn’t you?

Please comment and share your stories with us.  I think the public needs to know what happens in the real world today to innocent people.
